NUMATIC is a British company that have been making durable vacuum cleaners for many years. Most of us have grown up with his cheeky grin. The hoses and tools have remained the same over the years, so are interchangeable because they’re mostly 32mm.

• 2 sizes of filters – 11” and 12”, with 12” being the most popular

Bargains can often be found at car boots etc. Motors tend to be the complicated bit and have changed quite a few times. The older ones tend to be the best ones, as wattages tend to be much higher – some were 1400 watts!
